Our story

Hi there!

My name is Sanjana Chander, founder of Bohème Naari. I moved to France in 2022 and was both surprised and (slightly) impressed by how intrigued the French are by Indian culture. But its representation, especially concerning clothing and jewelry, really struck me, and not always in a good way.

Having always been passionate about oxidized Indian jewelry, I found myself constantly searching for the same quality and designs without ever really finding them. So, naturally, I did what anyone a little obsessed would do: I created Bohème Naari.

The name came naturally: Bohème (the "boho" spirit in French) meets Naari (a Hindi word meaning "Woman"). Together, it forms Bohème Naari - a bohemian woman, effortlessly blending two cultures.

Each piece you discover here has been selected with a lot of love, intention, and an (almost obsessive) attention to detail. These are jewels you can wear with absolutely anything – Indian outfits, Western outfits, or even that hard-to-define in-between look.
